Dave, Those are great photos! I especially like the biplanes. I don't recognize the final aircraft though, what is it? Good job!

Doug,
It's a Hawker Siddeley Nimrod, based on the De Havilland Comet. I think it was Coastal Command aircraft for search and destroy antisubmarine missions. I presume form the size of the bomb bay, it carried torpedoes.

What a great and fitting place to celebrate the Battle of the Atlantic. Yea, the Nimrod is for ASW work. I am guessing that the biplanes are Swordfish (Stringbag) torpedo bombers? I noticed too the Britannia in some of the photos. Kind of sad that she is payed off now but at least she is not gone to razor blades.
