Hi All ! We've had a rough couple of weeks, but I finally got the chance to get out and visit some of my favorite junk shops today. Found three cameras : an Ansco Autoset CdS, a Canonet QL17, and a Konica auto S2. They cost me 5 USD each. I'm especially happy with the Konica. My first "good" camera after a long line of cheap Kodaks was an auto S2 just like this one. ;D It needs a good cleaning, I can't wait to get started on it ! Doug

Hi Doug ! You`ve found a couple of nice cameras for a good price . I especially like the Canonet models. If you keep your eyes open, you may find some interesting Konica accessories for peanuts, like this close-up lenses ( I paid about 1.- USD a year ago ). MIK

Nice Konica! I have two of them, they have a really nice heft to them! And a fast sharp lens I think. I had mine serviced, they have not been without their troubles, but working now..

The Canon & Konica both seem to work ( the Autoset doesn't but I've rarely seen one in working condition). The shutter on the Konica is a bit sluggish, but a good CLA should take care of that. I'll post some more photos when I get the time. Doug

I haven't yet come across a Konica for $5, but I am always on the lookout. I like the fixed lens rangefinders, so for $5-10, I don't hesitate to add to the collection if I find something new.

Konica cameras have the sharpest lens for the least amount of money. That is why I rebuild most of them
