Hi ! I visited a flea market yesterday afternoon, right before closing. There was nothing interesting to see, or to buy. On my way back, at the last market stall I spied a Kodak metal case standing somewhat apart and asked the trader, if he could open it. I saw a lot of old camera accessory and some lenses inside and asked for the price of a Rolleiflex – Rolleiflash. They are quite rare here and if you find one it will cost 50.- minimum. He said, you can have the whole case for ca. 25.- USD. He added: “An easy business”. I had a look at the items at home and found out, that it was truly a good deal ;D. All items are in mint condition, including the Leitz Elmar 1:3.5/5cm with sun shade, the Elmar 1:4/9cm with original UV-filter, sun shade and Leitz 9cm-Finder. My new lunch box The Rolleiflash Some accessories, there are also several filters, some brochures and two Gossen-lightmeters The Leica lenses And at last the Rolleiflash mounted on a 3.5 Rolleiflex MIK

Boy, I'll say that was a stroke of luck. I don't know about the other stuff but the Leica gear is certainly worth the price alone and then some. That new lunch box is neat too.

Oh Boy!! You certainly hit the jackpot ... AGAIN! You seem to have a happy knack of finding real bargains, and some quite rare cameras, in your local markets. Long may your run of luck continue. Peter W.

Id've paid that for the 'lunchbox' alone.
My, but that flash is an ungainly looking device!
well done.

Congratulations on a great find. I love surprises like that. I once found a bunch of Cokin filters that hadn't even been mentioned in the ad in the box of a camera that I bought from an on-line auction. They were worth more than what I paid for the camera.

The Kodak suitcase itself is a treasure. I'm extremely jealous.

Have many thanks guys ! There is no need to be jealous. All you have to do is looking out for the items in the second or third row of a flea market and once a year maybe you`ll find things like that. But it is still funny that nobody of the thousands of visitors during 6 hours had been interested in this case. My fortune ;D
