Hi ! Here is a story about strange things happening on Ebay. I do not often buy things at Ebay, because the prices per se are too high, not to mention the horrible shipping costs. About a week ago I found an offer titled with: Seagull BIG Twin 4 limited edition in blue, serial-number 4 of 1000 built pieces. The camera is in perfect condition. So I clicked on the “buy it now” button and thought I bought this item for 50.- EUR ( + 6.- postal charges ). Hours later I received a mail from the seller, who told me that he has withdrawn the offer, because the item does not correspond to the description. I wonder why this guy is offering this camera at Ebay, just as a joke ? Ebay is becoming more and more dubious … I had a BIG Twin many years ago, but unfortunately I sold it sometime. Not as brilliant as the Rolleiflex, but a respectable camera. MIK

Hard luck. Apart from the possibility of factual errors, I suspect he may have put too few zeroes in the price if it really was no. 4 of 1000.

Some weeks back I won a very nice camera on ebay. The starting price was just $5 my bid was over that at $20. At the close of bidding I won and because mine was the only bid the price was just $5. plus postage. I Soon received a message from the seller asking if I would withdraw my bid as the camera was broken. This I did... Three days later the camera was re-listed in full working condition at $40.Yes I did report it to ebay.
