Mickey's airplane shot is definitely a Nanchang. It is either a CJ-6, or possibly a CJ-9. CJ-6, seen at Chico Air Fest '07 Pentax Auto 110 Information Placard hanging on the prop--heavy crop from a 110 negative from my Auto 110 This is a CJ-9 that visited our little museum here in Chico. The three-bladed prop is a recent upgrade by the owner. Both aircraft are direct descendants of a Russian aircraft, the Yakolev Yak S-2. We had one of them in near flight status. We traded it for a Delphin jet trainer from the Bulgarian Air Force. These shots are of the Yak on its way out of our collection. The family resemblance is unmistakeable. Roy

Mickey, I don't know enough about these aircraft to tell them apart. I have to go by the display placards and what the pilots told me. Boy, does that prop have an OUCH! That plane must have bellied in at some time. That was a definite "Aw s**t!" Roy

I'm in over my head already. Mickey
