Hi ! Although the weather was rainy today, my son and I visited a Tractor Pulling competition, not far away from Vienna. I think this kind of motorsport is more popular in the US, but as seen today, there are also a few Austrian “fast, loud and dirty”- enthusiasts. I still wonder where they got all the exotic engines from ? Here are some pictures: Russian Isotov T-2 helicopter turbine. He scrapped the gear box while starting. Lot of noise, no pull... Modified Austrian Steyr 9,7 litre truck engine with 2400 HP. Russian V12 / 40 litre Diesel from a battle tank with 2500 HP. Allison V12 from a P-51 Mustang / 3000 HP. T-54 Russian tank engine with 39 litre capacity and 1300 HP. Continental V12 tank engine. And at the end a V8 ( presumable Ford ). MIK

Neat, but somebody has got way too much time and money on their hands to put these together.

I've never seen one live. I have seen tug of war though.
