On another forum that I belong to there is quite a long thread about the high prices for lenses, especially anything that will fit Leica M or LTM cameras and of course other digitals with the proper adapter. They really have taken quite a jump with a pre asph 35 Lux apparently going for near $2000.00 now. If you want to unload some lenses now might be the time to do so, just don't try to replace them in a hurry. Prices for camera gear is like the stock market, now up but could just as easily go down too.

I have been thinking of getting an adapter so I can use it on the Canon DSLR. The Canon 50mm f1.2L is more than £1,250 here.

When you look at it that way and like using a 50 mm lens then it is a bargain by comparison. That may be part of what is driving old glass up in price, the new stuff is getting absurdly high in cost.
