I hope this is a right place to show off my FG.... This is my first Nikon that I had, I choose FG 'cause it has several exposure mode (P, A and M ... plus TTL flash ) and still had a mechanical shutter for 'emergency' situation ... and it is the cheapest Nikon with manual override in that era. Actually my FG is black one, even it still in good condition but I decide to find the other one and put my black FG in very very special place due to its historical and emotional reason. * my real FG ... * my backup... silver FG, it uses the lens from the black FG. Is somebody ever use this camera too? please share your experience with this 'ultimate camera' from its era.... didon.-

Hi! I've never owned one of these, but I really like your photo of the chrome model. It's a very well done photo of a classy camera!

I've never had a Nikon - for no particular reason other than I have had Topcon, Pentax and Canon systems. The last thing I need is another set of lenses.
I'm with Doug - I really like the photo of your chrome model.

I really liked Nikon for the solid feeling of them. I wasn't so fond of the EM, but now, I appreciate it for what it was.
My all-time favorite is the Nikon EL2. A substantial, reliable, and ergonomically well-designed machine.
