Hi ! Here are my latest finds: two Zorki “golden Leica” fakes, which I found cheap at the internet last week. They both have “Elmar” lenses, Leica engravings and fantasy serial numbers. In reality the first one is a Zorki 1 and the second one a Zorki S. I personally believe that these fakes are underestimated, because a lot of work is required to produce them. I find that they are small masterpieces and an enrichment of my Russian camera section ;D. MIK

The Zorki S (and 2S) have been described as a Zorki 1 beaten with an ugly stick. Basically what they do on those cameras is strip off the plating and expose the brass. I'm not sure how much of the work is exterior cosmetics and whether they actually do actual CLAs . It has been my experience that many of the sellers focus on cosmetics and don't pay much attention to the mechanical portion.

Hi Colray,
As Wayne said, if a Zorki or FED is in mint condition, it is often not working. I purchased the two cameras because of the fact that they had been described as " with obvious signs of usage ", cosmetically not perfect, but working properly.

The FED 2 series tend to be one of the more reliable FSU models.
