Just arrived today. Bought as non-working it's shutter occasionally fires okay but normally the second blind doesn't quite close. Other than the dent in the prism housing it's in fair nick cosmetically. Note the price! It must have been on sale for that at some stage fairly recently, but in fact it was £5 with £3 postage. (Poor quality photos, I'm afraid. taken under artificial light just to be quick.) Of the SV's and HV's this is harder to find at a reasonable cost and in good working and cosmetic condition. You've a nice one there.

It came from rockycameras.com. I have had some Topcon stuff from the early 70s and I had always promised myself that I would collect more Topcon gear. The SV was a bit of an afterthought add-on to the Topcon RM300 for which I was sending. This was in excellent condition complete with case and batteries. I certainly use Rocky again - plenty of choice at, in the main, sensible prices. I wish, though, they would just have a few more photos of each item on offer. However, from the little I have seen so far, the descriptions seem accurate.
I presume a bit of cleaning and lubrication will solve the second blind problem - or might it be a weak spring?

My first SLR with an instant return mirror was an SV. (My first SLR was an EXA I) I haven't had a camera since that fit my hand as comfortably as the SV. I bought my used but like new with normal, 35mm and 200mm Takumar lenses included.

It came from rockycameras.com. ............................................ Have you Googled 'Rocky Cameras' ? it's an education. His reputation is awful, and the chances are the dent in that camera was caused by him dumping cameras and lenses into boxes at a camera fair, I've seen him just 'sweep' them off the table into a box on a chair. Then he describes them as 'perfect' I've seen him regularly at camera fairs, he sells a lot of junk, and his customer service skills at dealing with complaints can best be described as 'confrontational'.

Yes, his reputation isn't good - and understandably so. I'm not sure I would buy from him unless there was something I really wanted/needed. He doesn't reply to emails.
Strange really the way some people are. With better customer relations he would probably do better for both the customers and for himself.
