This evening I came across a Vivitar V4000 with Vivitar MC 35-70mm. f/3.5-4.5 kitlens on a Dutch auction website. Hardly used, in brand new condition, 'chrome' version. Starting bid was Eur. 10,00 and I bid that amount exactly because I've already a Vivitar in my collection (a Vivitar XV-1) and I didn't want to invest more - it was not really a 'necessary' bid. But - to my own astonishment the seller accepted my humble bid! ;D Will post pictures as soon as the camera has arrived, this is quite a rare camera in Europe, I've never seen one on that auction site before (despite the fact that I check its contents and updates almost daily for four years now...). Yay!

Robert,
I bet we all (well some of us anyway) remember the days when 35-70 was the standard zoom.
10 euro = price of a packet of fags (as we call cigarettes here) so seems a good buy to me.
Dave.
