A bargain, but it's cheaper to just turn round.

If it came with the camera the pentaprism finder on it is worth a lot more than $160. If I remember correctly, the mirror in the camera had to be up because the lens went back into the body so far. It was never meant to be used on a digital camera. I've seen better results from a 6mm on a camera from the period when it was made. Fisheye pictures get old pretty fast however.

Absolutely stunning price for a rare and amazing optic. I agree with Wayne though that fisheye photo get old fast. The 6mm fisheye that needed to have the mirror up to be mounted was this one www.photosynthesis.co.nz/nikon/f656n.jpg which pre dated the model in the link. Bob

So at 5.2Kg you mount the lens to a tripod. Then mount a camera to the lens. That's a lotta glass. True, fish eye lenses do loose some thing with time. I tend to zoom in a bit with mine to use it as a wide angle.

I'd much prefer the 13mm f/5.6 ultra wide-angle which Grays Of Westminster recently sold for £25,000 if I had that amount of money to spend on a lens. To be honest, a circular fisheye image has never really appealed to me, but I don't mind the full-frame fisheyes.

Fish eyes never appealed to me.
That is why I gave up angling years ago.

And you can get wider and sharper using Microsoft ICE and your computer with digitized images.
It's a buggy whip, albeit a platinum one with diamonds.
