Splendid site.
I especially like the Exakta segment but every section is well detailed and abundantly illustrated with excellent photos of the subject.

Thanks Mickey I am so happy that you like our site. As compare with many collectors here, I am just kindergarten student (still have so many things to learn). I am thinking my next article is going to talk about Rolleiflex Original, I hope you will like it as well. WU

I have a similar camera, but probably not in good enough shape to put film in. Yours in very nice looking. But what is even better is that photo you took. Can you please tell me what the building is? I was just curious. But I admire that print very much!! Thanks for posting it.

Yes. it looks full of optical illusions as well as cutting-edge architecture.
As regards the camera, it's one everyone should want: nice blog too.

Thanks Jim and Dave, the building is called Dornach goetheanum. Located in Basel, Switzerland. There is a village with all the buildings in this architectural style (no sharp angle).
If you have chance to visit Switzerland in coming future, please let me know... I will take you to there. Cheers

Nice blog, ewu. On behalf of the number freaks (like me...) of the Zeiss Historica Society may I ask you to publish the exact Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar information of the lens? Hans

Ewu, thank you for the offer. Visits to Switzerland and too few and far between. Strangely the first Chinese Restaurant I can recall going to was in Lausanne - 1961, I think.

This is my oldest Exakta Unfortunately I don't use my Exaktas very much and I don't think any of them are fully working now. I find that the shutters "gum" up with non-use.

Thanks Rachel for sharing this! Yes... many of them are out-of-order already.
But yours, the lens seems pretty good... may you consider to add an adapter for other camperas.

From Thiele II (Fabrikationsbuch Photooptik II Carl Zeiss Jena your lens is from a batch of 3000 which production ended March 15, 1937 for use in Exakta mount 24x36.
