A little bit tough to judge the quality in this environment and in B/W, but it seems, that this old baby is still capable of taking decent pictures. Looking forward to see more. Agfa Rapid system. I googled it. Interesting. Might be just a little bit tough, getting it developed if not doing it yourself.

The film is standard 35mm sprocketed, so you can pull a 35mm cassette in the dark, and load to the Karat, (or Agfa Rapid) cassette, and when finished put it back in the 35 cassette. You must have two rapid cassettes and NEVER send them with the film for processing. the older Karat have settings, if it is setting less rapid or has weather symbols, they took an 80 ASA Agfa film, 100 ASA will work fine. The Karat cassettes are like gold dust, expensive, you are more likely to find old Rapid in a camera etc. Never rip them open, the film should not enter the cassette fully, the sprockets deliver it to a stop leaving the film sticking out, if it goes in , then standard 35mm retrieval tongue must be used. Karat and Rapid are not quite identical, but are interchangeable. Stephen.

I use a local lab for films I am not going to develop myself (Snappy Snaps in Lincoln) and they are good enough to return Karat cassettes and also metal film spools if I send them in. I have never had to ask them to do so, so I am quite impressed. So, if the film is going to be developed on site, just ask for the cassette to be returned. The only difference I have found between karat and Rapid cassettes is the speed tongue on the Rapid cassettes. Karat on the left, Rapid on the right:
