Hi gang! I took a trip to the local pick & pull today. My brother in law needed some truck parts and I went along to assist. While roaming the yard, we came across several vehicles that caused my usual " what were they thinkin?" to pop out. This is one of them. I can't identify this truck. It looks military, maybe Dodge? I don't know. Anyone out there got any ideas? Doug

Hi Doug, This one really looks like an military Dodge from the 1940`s. Here is a picture which i took two years ago, there are a lot of similarities ( except the third axle ). Did you buy it ? A little bit of work and you get a new car ! Hehehe... MIK

Hi Mik! Glad to see that you're back!! I was thinking it might be a Powerwagon, but there isn't enough of it to really say for sure. It would be fun to rescue it, however, those idiots at the yard won't sell complete parts vehicles They've also got a complete Suzuki rotary engine motorcycle that I've been lusting after. No luck, won't sell. IDIOTS Doug

It's a crime how some parking lot attendants refuse to look after their customer's vehicles.

That looks like a WW2 era weapons carrier, very similar to a modern day pick-up truck. Heavy duty, rugged 4WD truck built for the US military by Dodge, and used by Allied forces all over the globe.

Dodge 3/4-ton. Used for many things in the Army including ambulances. There were still several in my National Guard unit in the late 1960s. Never saw one with twin rear axles like the one in MIK's photo.
