That really is one heck of a wheel, Bob. Any idea what rpm it ran at when it was in service? I once saw the results of quite a small stationary steam engine's flywheel coming apart at 600 rpm. It just about demolished the shed it was in. I would really have hated to have been in the vicinity if at any time that big one had decided to come apart!!

Yes it sure does!! that F801 is one heck of a great camera.
I like it more every time I use it!!

Bob Apparently the 801 had one of the largest number of "exposure scenes" in its memory. When the Nikon Matrix system was just getting started, the 801 was loaded with more typical scenes than subsequent cameras. I believe they found they didn't need as much for later cameras - but they got it right for that one. The AF is a bit slow but then that wheel wasn't turning too fast when you took the shot. Phil
