ameliashellie, Just to clarify. DSLR stands for Digital Single Lens Reflex. That is a camera that one looks at eye level into a viewfinder and sees an optical, life size, image of the subject right side up , thanks to a mirror and a five sided prism, on a ground glass. The camera is steadied against the face. There is usually a wide selection of lenses that may be used on a given camera. The Canon Point And Shoot camera differs from a DSLR in that one views a digitally created very small image on an electronic screen held, depending upon ones eyesight, anywhere from inches to several feet from the eyes. Bright light may obscure the image. It is not steadied against the face. It usually has only one lens permanently attached. Mickey
