I finally got him close enough. I lad flat of my stomach for 3 hours in a full ghillie suit to get it. I had the camera on a big bean bag and had the remote in my hand. the camera was under a snipers veil. Canon T90 Canon 300 f 2.8 L Fuji Reala 100 @ 80

Beautiful Rick
What a triumph! That one definitely went up as wallpaper. Multiple comments along the lines of "Fits in perfectly with all the others around here" !!
I've been too nervous to chance trying Reala, as I believe it's much less forgiving than negative film. Seeing this, I'm tempted to give it a try (if I can only get my scanner to focus on slides! HP never came back to me - must give them a nudge).

And to think, Ben Franklin wanted it to be our national bird !!! there eyesight, hearing and intelligence is amazing. John, I have found that if you expose Reala at ISO 80 you get the super saturated colors but at 100 it is more normal. Reala is film not slides. You are thinking of Velvia

I knew that...
Right ! I get them mixed up as I haven't tried them so far. Need to start looking at different films. Got confirmation the other day that one of our biggest internet mail order outlets can no longer obtain 3-packs of Superia film. Bad news, as rolls sold in the 3-packs (surprisingly) were cheaper than those in 10-packs. To do with turnover I suppose.
Impressed with your shot of the deer on 800 Press. Thought that speed would show up some grain, but it isn't noticeable to me. Will maybe try some higher speed stuff too.
