Folks just posting 3 photos taken with a Saitex 24mm/macro lens. It is in a Fujica X-mount, so was taken with a Porst CR-7 (Fujica AX-5). these are not "wow" shots nor are they great compostions......I was just experimenting with this lens...it being the widest angle lens I own.....I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Thought others might appreciate knowing an in-expensive lens could be fun and suprisingly good. Bob

I think the cameras that give the best wide angle are some of the old medium format box cameras....at least that's been my experience...but I may be wrong. Your pix are still WOW pix to me there Cousin Bob! ;D

Roberto...aka, Bob!
If these are straight shots and not color manipulated at all...that ol' lens does do a great job of color rendition.

Ron
Those are 100% straight shots...not color manipulated at all. You might recall....I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to those things........I am not a fan at all, of "make it better" in photoshop. I'm looking for accurate rendition of what I saw when I took the photo....so.... rest assured...they are un-manipulated! ;D Bob

Bob: It's interesting how little noticable "barrel distortion" is evident with a 24mm lens!

Hi Bob,
I like a 24mm - a nice size, you don't get the distortion of a true fish-eye, but it's a real wide-angle. You like your tree-stumps don't you? So do I !!

24mm always has been one of my favorite lenses. Never had much use for the 28mm--too close to 35mm. Recently, however, I sold my 24 Nikkor to help finance a 20mm. I like the 20mm. If you keep it level you can control distortion. I do wiish I had hung on to the 24mm, too.

Yes, I agree with you gents....the 24mm is a good focal length to have...... and that particular lens is fast becoming one of my favorites!!
