One evening a week visiting a fitness centre with my friendly neighbour - an excuse for discussing equipment/gadgets/people in the pub afterwards... - is not enough to keep myself in shape, so... a motor drive for my Canon F1-new LA model (these excuses sound familiar??) Over the last year I've had enough rehab to last the rest of my life.

I know where your coming from Randy.. but all the rehab in the world is not enough to turn back the years, everythings slowly falling apart thank god I still think straight... or at least as straight as ever.. apart from needing a memory upgrade gotta laugh about it all.. good luck to you just keep plugging along

Hi, Randy,
No rehab yet. I am still undergoing all kinds of scans and tests to see what is and is not working. I hate that refrigerated goo. I am leaving lots of blood samples all over the place and nervous smiles at each stop. A treadmill test is coming up. I have never had one before and am nervous. How does one walk on a large moving rubber belt with a cane? This should be interesting and possibly comical, if it is not fatal. Meanwhile I have discovered that arthritis does not like cold and really lets one know that fact. But I have discovered that it and neuropathy are very chummy and cooperate with each other.
Aaah - the golden years! Nothing but iron pyrites. But it is good for the many --------ologists. Mickey

I would never recommend old age to anyone.. its the pits.. what I used to be able to do in an hour now takes me a week... if I can do it at all.. but the attempts are sometimes amusing to look back on

Bob - old age is preferable to the alternative.

I some times wonder John I am sure old age hurts more.. and is far more frustrating.. trouble is I cant get a trial run of the alternative

My mum calls it the 'Anno Domini effect'. She should know, she's almost twenty years older than me!!

I can sympathize, been through the medical gamut for 21 months now with both knees needing replacement, bariatric clinics and now every test under the sun for stomach/colon woes. Good part is getting up in the morning... at least till my feet hit the floor and I try to stand up, LOL. Beats the alternative as previously stated, Every day above ground is a good one. It sucks when a gopher needs to deliver your mail.

The upper right hand corner of this page seems to be telling me to do something.
"Welcome mickeyobe. Logout"
But I am not yet ready to obey that order.

I think it's a suggestion, rather than an order, at the moment, Mickey.

I think it's a suggestion, rather than an order, at the moment, Mickey. Whew! What a relief. Mickey
