Allo, my first post :-)
I picked up a bulk lot of goodies yesterday from Gumtree (Not sure if Gumtree exists on your side of the world - Im in Australia. Gumtree is a free buy/sell webpage - like an online yard sale) Anyway. There was a single picture and the description - Film camera collection, looking for a good home. Among the cameras pictured there was a Pentax T50 (Meh) and Minolta QTsi (also meh), a set of Minolta Macro Belllows iii and a couple of carry bags. BUT tucked in among that gear was an Olive green Werra 3 in near perfect condition! I'd been chasing one of these in reasonable condition for ages! Nearly impossible to find one for sale in this country!
The lady would only sell it as a bulk lot and not separate it so I have a couple of other cameras to clean up, play with and on-sell. She had no idea what the Werra (or any of these cameras) was and she was just happy to get the collection out of her cupboard.
$50 Australian delivered. Get one of the cameras I've been looking for and a couple of hundred dollars w\orth of other gear to re-sell to. Not a bad days searching.
Bargain - ever growing collection :-)

Can you share the Werra 3 lens data? Hans Hi Hans, Australia Post is one of the worlds SLOWEST postal delivery services! I'm hoping the cameras will be with me on Monday or Tuesday. They are coming from the other side of the country. It usually takes 7-9 working days to get things delivered from the eastern states of Australia to us in the West. Sigh. The lens on the Werra is branded only as a Jena and I believe it was originally purchased in USA when they were first released. This is the best photo I have of it so far. I'm not 100% sure what model of Werra it is, originally thought it was a 3 but after more research I'm not so confident and leaning toward a Werra 1- Cant wait to get my hands on it.

The Werra arrived today, obvious it hadnt been used in a long time. From what I've found this evening it looks to me as though it is a Werra 1a circa 1958. The shutter was jammed but a little coaxing and it free'd up. Fires smoothly and accurately (as I can tell by sight) at all speeds. The self timer is sticky and doesnt really work that well but everything else is spot on. The photos show the serial number of the camera and I have some better pictures of teh lens data for you HANZ. Can't wait to get some film into it - looks like a lot of fun to shoot with.
