I had a strange day today at the car boot sale. First I picked up a Polaroid Automatic 320 in good condition, knowing that film packs are not available, but it will look good opened up on a shelf, then immediately after, I found a Praktica BX 20 with Prakticar 50mm f1.8 lens for £8. I never really wanted one, but I was curious and at that price it is clean. Nice shape to hold and heavy for a small camera, but very plastic. Then an hour later a friend came up with a Super-Multi-Coated-Takumar 135mm f3.5 M42 and absolutely as new, unmarked all round, focusing smooth as silk. He was quite happy to take £5 for it. Will go nicely on one of my my Pentax S1a either the black one or chrome one or the Spotmatic. Edit. re The BX20, I have found one on ebay that doesn't work (battery?) and it has a fitted Sigma 35-70 lens bought it for £4.99p.

re The second Praktica BX 20 - it has arrived and I cannot find anything wrong with it. This is the fourth non working camera in the last 3 months that has been 'cured' by being sent through the post, Canon AE-1 Program, Olympus OM 2 Spot Program & Nikon FG. So if your old camera is tired, worn out, rattling, box it up & send it back to yourself you might get a nice surprise!
