Now here's a not so common lens: the Raynette 135mm 2.8. Very little is there to be found about it as probably nobody is interested in such an obscure brand. Anyway from what i could find about it i've learned it is most likely made by the people who made the Raynox lens adapters and at some time it was sold by the big camera stores like adorama and such.
I've put it on my D3 as i couldn't find my K to M42 adapter so i could use it on the pentax digital K-x. Much to my surprise there is very little to fault about this lens. It's a well made all metal construction, has an eight blade dfiafragm,has a large max 2.8 aperture, all movements go smooth, it is very sharp even wide open and has a nice soft rendering of the out of focus areas (Bokeh!). It dos need a sunschade as it flares very easily. I would say 3 Euros well spent at the thrift store!
