The first Antwerp no restrictions post-covid collectables fair was held on 27/03/2022. There were militaria, vinyl rcords, computer, toy models, comics and camera stands. Here's a few impressions and what i've found: Camera's : because of the end of covid restrictions some more traders from across the border mainly German and Dutch came to visit; So was this German who had some very intersting bargains: I was able to secure these 3 items for a grand total of 10€!!! It's a King Regula with a 35mm Lithagon lens, a Zorki 4 body and a Porst 1:2.8 35mm macro in M42mount all in good and working condition. The Rollop TLR i was after still wasn't to be found What i did find was another Canon RF: a model P with canon 50mm 1.8 And for the model car collection a 1/43 1957 Vanwall F1 and a long nose Jaguar D type The next fair will be held in May, C U then?

Well done. I never see any thing like that where I live (New Zealand). Even scruffy cameras sell at online auctions for silly prices, although I have just bought a Pentacon D with bad shutter curtains for a reasonable price.

Tell me about it, trying to find a(ny) camera in NZ. With all due respect but NZ has to be a camera waste land . During our two month round trip on both the islands my D300s fell in the pond at Waiau falls. The quick release was badly connected on the tripod and the camera fell off hitting the boulder and then tumbling in to the pond. I was able to retrieve it but it was totalled. I then thought i would just buy a D7100 but apparantly they where unavailable in NZ at that time. Lazer Photo at Wakatane then was able to help me out as the sales person knew a local photographer who was willing to part with his D300S. We met in the late afternoon and a deal was made. I was lucky to find anything serious camera wise as i went through all the options only to find out there weren't any! So next time i visit NZ i'll bring along some more back up, just in case. Waiau falls and the boulder on wich the D300S fell: The Wakatane Lazer Photo shop wich came to the rescue:

Went to the May- camera fair yesterday, it was a complete non-event. The people i was hoping to meet weren't there and the only things i've bought were a couple of 2CR5 batteries and a 82mm lens cap for my sigma 20mm 1.8 at 2,50€ it at least made up for the 9.10€ admission fee to the event. There was nothing else even remotly interesting at any price. With the "bad" Voigtländer i've bought online this hasn't been a good week. I hope the Canon and Contax lenses wich are on their way will be better deals, more on those when they arrive...
