The Universities over here take their 'duty of care' responsibilities seriously. My home town of Manchester has the biggest student population in Europe. Some of the low-life regard the students as 'prey'. But the local community has responded - many of the local clubs are 'students-only', requiring Student ID cards for entry. I went to my son's 21st birthday celebrations, and managed to get myself in to one of the clubs with him (the security guards all supported the same football team as me!). We both got thrown out together at the end of the night. I was so proud!!

Sorry Ron - I'm going even further back than that. I was referring to the film with Cary Grant and Constance Bennett, who die and come back as ghosts, and decide to liven up the life of their rather stuffy friend Cosmo Topper.
I quite like Constance Bennett - something about her voice, among other sterling attributes!

My wife would like No. 4! I like the last myself - something Topper-like about it!

Recognise the guy in the second photograph. He's the second secretary at the Ministry for Funny Walks!
Great street photography Michael!

Newcastle Emlyn - Prince's new castle? An unusual mixture. These are all great compositions apart from the phone box ( which is a work of art in its own right!)

Holy Moly Reiska!!
What a superb shot of the copper plant, and the trees in the foreground. Why did the trees at the front have no frost on them? Superb contrasts.

No 3 - Impressionist !
No I like them all. Isn't Yonkers where Barbara Streisand lived in Hello Dolly?
Zooms are convenient, but they eat light (at least the ones I can afford do!), and tend not to focus very closely (unless they have a genuine macro setting).

Bob
Here in England that's a cornflower. They still manage to come up in our garden 30 years after the land changed from a field to a housing estate - one of our most beautiful flowers!
