Very nice images, that clock tower is beautiful , and that bar (?) entrance is intriguing.
You seem to be getting into the Leica slippery slope.

Very nice images, that clock tower is beautiful , and that bar (?) entrance is intriguing. The "bar" is our local pub "de witte hert" (the white stag) on the corner of our street. The interior is still original early 1900's , wich i still need to take some pictures of. You seem to be getting into the Leica slippery slope. Yea i guess i got carried away, these are the latest aquisitions:

that clock tower is beautiful , and that bar entrance is intriguing. You seem to be getting into the Leica slippery slope. The clock towers origins go back to the 13th century when it was part of the citywalls of the city of Lier (Belgium). It used to be called the Cornelius tower, but is now known as the "Zimmer tower" named after the famous clockmaker Louis Zimmer who build the astronomical clock wich is now on the tower. Went for a drink in the "white stag" as it was rather late 11.30PM most of the locals had already left. No Leica's were harmed in the making of the shots, made them with my cell phone.

Thanks for the information. I remember now a picture of the Zimmer tower in some book about clocks that I read many years ago.
Beer in Belgium is almost always a treat, well done there.
Those Leicas are awesome to look at.
