The Leica R4s just came to join the collection, the strange thing about an R4S is that unlike what most people could think, that it isn't a "special" edition of the R4. The "S" here stands for simplified as it is a R4 with less features, no program mode, no shutter priority.
Together with the S came an Elmarit R 90mm 2.8 which should be the same as the M version (which looks completely different).
Here's the R4s next to the R4
And here's the R4s with the Elmarit R 90 2.8 next to the M4 with its M Elmarit.
Surprisingly seeing them next to one another one can see the M isn't much smaller than the R.
One of these days i'll be comparing the M and R Elmarit in everyday use to find out if there's any difference.
