I recently took the panasonic DMC-TZ60 along on one of my travels.These travel compacts give good results for holiday snap shots, but on close inspection the quality of the image isn't comparable to full frame dsl'r shots (what did you expect? 
) still when not wanting to carry much weight any camera is better than no camera.
