Thanks for the info, John.
I missed tonight's episode but will try to catch the repeat of it on the 29th.
I went through the website, looking at the pictures. Some of them are very well known, though none the worse for that. Maybe they had a lot more tucked up their sleeves which weren't given to the webmaster. I hope so. I also hope they've got stuff from a more widely varied selection of photographers than those named. There's masses of stuff in the big picture libraries; the skill with a series of programmes like this is in choosing what to leave out. I enjoyed looking at the short video clip on the camera obscura.
So far it looks very promising. A series of programmes like this depends a lot on the scriptwriter and presenter, but the Beeb is usually good in its treatment of Channel Four documentaries. The producers aim at what must be, after all, a minority interest, and don't try to make 'popular good television' stuff to try to attract viewers from the mind-numbing soaps and sitcoms.
We shall see.
