I had my Minolta SRT-201 CLA'd recently and was extremely happy with it. Also I got a 35/2.8 Rokkor lens from the same person, Mr. Titterington. I took it up to San Bruno Mt. State Park for the first roll. The weather was rotten, I almost turned back. But it got better... This is the wooded part of the park. Here is the open trail that circles around the field on the summit. More of the summit trail, heading up and into the fog. I think I hear a hound. A Baskerville hound Or is it a mountain lion?! Part of a youth camp area. Another view of these sentry poles. Under the canopy of trees again..

Nice shots Michael. What film were you using? Alot of saturated colors there and I also really like the perspective of the shots too.

Excellent photos sometimes I get the best shots when I don't think I'm gonna.

Thanks for the comments! It was Fuji Superia 100. Ron, I focused on the nearest tree, on the left. I guess the wet weather contributed to the 'backdrop' effect in the distance..

Dear Michael,
You showed us some wonderful pictures. I especially like no 2 and 6. But the first one is also very good. Foggy weather offers some great photographic options - and You did succeed to use them!
The 2.8/35 W.Rokkor is a very good lens. Besides it is a pretty useful focal length. It offers quite some additional coverage compared to the normal - while still offering the neutral character of the normal. In Your pictures 4,5,6 You see also, that the heavy backlight that is formed by the fog does not affect the contrast of the frame. I am sure most zoom would fail here.
Do You got the later version with 49mm filter thread or the early MD one, which is a clone of the last MC lens?
Best regards Peter

Hi Peter,
Thanks for your comments! I have the 52mm filter thread one, it says MC W.ROKKOR - HG 1:2.8 f = 35mm. This is my first Minolta and it's really a fun camera to use. Very bright finder, solid feeling, beautiful glass. Plus I like the old style shutter curtains. Thanks for sharing your insights..

Dear Michael,
I hope You got a good one. It seems to have a tendency to creeping grease into the aperture blades. I messed one when trying to wash it (didn't know the the backside element would go off without any disassembly of the aperture/focus mechanism. Anyway, enjoy it as long as the aperture is snappy.
Best regards Peter
