I pass this swampy area on the way to and from work every day. Stopped and took these. There is a blue heron that I see there every once in a while, and one day I will get a shot of him. Meanwhile, here's a few of the area. Don't know what the flowers are, but they were growing in the water at the edge of the pond. Taken with my little 110 Pentax. Enjoy, Roy

Great way to go to work.
The second one I thought might be an Iris. I have a book of wildflowers of the Pacific states, it lists have a dozon yellowish and half a dozen bluish. But among the yellow ones there's the Bowl-tubed Iris (Iris macrosiphon) that's described as yellow, creamy white or various shades of blue. I didn't see anything with that distinctive blue patch and yellow spot on just one petal. Do those thick leaves belong to this flower, they're not Iris.
The third might be honeysuckle, but none were listed.
Is this swamp really wild? Is it likely that people dump garden waste so that unexpected stuff grows there?

Number three is really nice. 110 Pentax? How did you get so close?

It looked like the iris-looking flower was part of the thick leaves, but it was so tangled, and on the wrong side of a fence, that it was hard to tell. This flower looked more like a succulent than honeysuckle does. But who knows! This is a naturally occuring wetland, but it is right next to a major thouroughfare, so anything is possible. That flower was on the other side of a highway fence, so I leaned over the top, using a 50mm (approx 100mm in 35) which has a minimum focus of a little under 3 ft. Set it to minimum, and leaned down until it snapped into focus. That in itself might have made an amusing photo (belly on the fence, hanging on with one hand, and feet waving in the breeze!) ;D Roy

No kidding! I think he has my car wired He's too far away for the 50 on the little 110, and he is never there when I have a 35 with a long lens! Roy
