Hi Randy and Bob, Great deal on the 701 Bob. Neat camera, excellent lens. How'd I miss that one, LOL? Told myself I'm only going to buy Prakticas and Minoltas for a bit. Ended up buying a Mamiya 500 DTL (a second one for parts/repair practice), two Taron RF's. 4 lenses, 4 TX mounts, 32 photo books and now a Minolta SRT 201. So much for swearing off eBay for a while. If you're anything like me (I hope not) you've usually got about 10 or 12 marking bids in and between 60-100 items in your items watched folder. Must leave Ebay alone, but there's always something I just gotta have.

By the way Randy, what year/style Falcon? Futura or Sprint? Sprints (pre 68 or so) are one of my top favourite Fords.

Curt: It's a relief to know I'm not the only one doing that! ;D LOLI constantly fill up the eBay "watching" area max, so I find myself forced to put in minimum bids on items I don't really need (or want) to acquire, but want to know how they're selling...and every once in a while wind up owning them, when no one overbids! I'm glad Randy and Bob are not into Mamiya (yet), because my costs would skyrocket!

Yep, misery loves company. Hmmmm, Mamiya eh?? LOL, don't worry I received my parts DTL 500. First thing I had to do was remove the bottom to see why the shutter release (but strangely not the shutter) is seized solid. You guessed it, the rewind button head clipped off the minute I touched it. Nice start. After a quick inspection I put it back together and next I'll attempt to remove the top cover without similar disaster. Never seen a camera that winds, cocks the shutter fine, but won't budge the shutter release. Then when I push in the rewind button (or remaining shaft, grrrr) the shutter fires, curtains travel, etc. Weird. Anyhow got a great Auto Mamiya/Sekor 50 f2 with the camera so for $6 US I can't bellyache. And if I ever get the top off, I'll be able to see both why it won't fire and how to remove the top of my other functional but occasionally winding challenged (slips like in Neutral once in a while) DTL500.

By the way Randy, what year/style Falcon? Futura or Sprint? Sprints (pre 68 or so) are one of my top favourite Fords. 1963½ Ford Falcon Futura in Ford Cream, in 1/18 scale. They are about 11 inches long. There's another color kind of a reddish brown. They're on Evilbay for $15.99 and well worth it. If you think camera collecting is addictive try diecast collecting. I have over 300 1/18 Cars in my house, and I have 3 on the way with 5 on pre-order. Here's a look into one of my 3 main display cases and I have 30 individual cases in my living room. Freda is an understanding wife...she puts up with my collecting diecasts and cameras and my 2 Dodge Pickups.

Hi Ron, Thanks for the file. I'm thinking this one just might give me some grief. I sure appreciate the help. Hi Randy, Wow, that's quite a collection of die casts you have there. A friend is heavily into them also, both Nascar/sprint cars and classic muscle cars. Out of curiosity why 2 Dodge trucks? I know the quick and devious answer would be to say to make 1 running one, but are they the same year/body style? One of my favourites has always been the Warlock or Little Red Express truck. Another is any old D100 or Fargo in the Powerwagon version. One tough truck for 4 wheeling. Hi Peter, LOL, you've gotta remember others called me a "wierd" collector first, I just adopted the moniker.

Curt, one truck is a '88 D250 heavy ¾ ton, and the other truck is a '88 D100 ¼ ton sport with a short bed. The big one is for work and the little one is for fun!

Ohmigawsh, Randy. I thought my collection of about 60 1/43 scale diecasts (including a few 1930s Dinky Toys) took up a lot of room in the display cabinet!
