I've always fancied a Minolta XD7 - the first multi-mode. Nice looking camera and everybody seemed to think highly about it. However twenty years ago, I went Nikon and once the decision was made, there is no looking back. Not really a collectible either - my collection is centred on the late fifties to the very early seventies and is 90% rangefinders. I accidentally stumbled across this today and put in a silly bid (£21.87) thinking it would go higher cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7549357140&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1I won it by a margin of 36p! Close as they say! So have I bought a "pup"? Have a look - will this be a stupid buy or a wise one? Have a guess and make a comment - I'll know the truth in a week and I'll let you know. I don't think the loss of Program or Shutter priority will affect me in the least since I never use them on the FA I know what you will say - seen loads of immaculate fully working ones going for $20!
