I've been cruelly railroaded into trying the Minolta cameras by Rachel. I have an SRT101 (which I understand is one of their last mechanical cameras) and an XG-M (a mid-term electronic I believe). Now I've just won a Minolta Dynax 300si - a camera that I know absolutely nothing about, other than it's autofocus.
Funny thing though, it came in a pair, with a Praktica BC1/zoom combination. I know the BC1 to be worth around £20 - 25 ($35 - 43) at recent rates. But the pair cost me only £28. So is there something fatally wrong with the 300si model, or has the bottom really fallen out of the film camera market?
Regards - John

Think I see the hitch, having downloaded the manual. You can't get out of program mode, and there are no manual settings for aperture or speed. Sounds like a Praktica BC100, or Konica FP-1. Oh well!
