Won an older Nikkormat FTN off of eBay today...Wife is gonna kill me but I wanted a mechanical shuttered Nikon in my stable as I didn't have any...It will join my FE2,N2000, N70 & Coolpix 8700...Now to get back to packing since I'm moving Saturday & haven't finished packing up the garage yet...14 years of accumulation...Just like my camera's (I didn't list my Konica's or any of my RF's)...

It's the thrill of the hunt...and knowing when to pounce, eh?

Congrats on the FTn......it's a great mechanical SLR....I have one and 2 FT2's and there are always ready to do what is asked of them. They are built like tanks! Enjoy!

A nice Nikon with FTN finder AND the 45mm GN Nikkor just went for $119. An absolute STEAL--the lens is worth that. Unfortunately, my recent purchase of a 20mm Nikkor prevented me from bidding.
Two of our daughters and their families are moving--one this weekend and one next weekend! That pretty much takes care of my spare time for awhile.

Whip me, beat me, torture me with hot irons, make me write bad checks, do horrible things to me with a fork.... just don't make me move again. What a nightmare. Last time I moved I swore to never move again, I'm a man of my word. Steve

I guess I should consider myself fortunate. I've moved exactly twice in 30 years! ;D My sons however, if you add the moves of the three of them since high school, have moved about 15 times! Fortunately, "Dad" only had to help schlep things around for the first half dozen.

I bought my house back in the 80s and the only thing that could make me move is a 6 figure winning lottery ticket. ;D
