Oh yes, so pleased with the Kodak I almost forgot. I browsed about in eBay this evening and took a really big risk . I went in during the last 15 seconds on a camera that had only one bid on it ... and won it for £2.20. . It's an Agfa Silette ... yes, I know I've already got half a dozen of them, but this one's relatively rare, and I hadn't got one. It's a Silette Brightline made, I think, in 1964 when, just for a few months, Agfa reverted to the dropped-down look of the top plate instead of the all-enveloping flat top. Maybe they were using up some old top plates. The seller, a dealer, said it is in good working order, and it looks quite nice, but we shall see in a few days, it's coming by second class post recorded delivery. I've put the seller's picture here: A real risk-taking Peter.

We take a risk every time we buy things on Evilbay Peter. I have gotten bit a few times as of late. There wasn't much money involved, but when a seller says a camera works good and it falls apart in your hands, somebody is guilding the lilly. Good luck!

Yes, that's one of the reasons I lost my enthusiasm as an Ebay seller and eventually faded out. I found that it became more difficult to compete with sellers that claimed "minty minty" with every item they sold.

Steve-
I am becoming an irritated seller as well. couple weeks back I listed a nice older screwmount tele lens for sale. Heated bidding went on and the thing sold for a good price, around $200, to a guy in Australia. He had never contacted me before winning the item. But after he did win, he emailed me saying the lens had "better be perfect" or he wouldn't accept it. I was irritated, but felt fine as I hadn't mesrepresented this 40 year old lens as being perfect, though to me it was as nice as I've seen.....I said not to worry, and sent it to him for about $30 in shipping, which he paid. I was sure he'd love it....
So a long story made longer, he gets it and says it's aweful...he threatens me and wants his money back, along with return shipping! I try really hard not to ever misrepresent an item, and didn't this time. I feel all I can do is give him his money back and get back the lens. Why he thought he could get a minty 300f4 supertak for $200 I don't know....this lens looks near-perfect to me. I have a perfect record as a buyer and seller, but I've found there is no dealing with some people.
Lesson to buyers: ask questions, ask for more photos etc....Then bid and buy. And realize not everyone is trying to rip someone off.

Hi, My Agfa Silette Brightline arrived this morning, well packed. The seller sent it first class recorded post with trackback though I paid for only second class, so that was a bonus.
The camera's clean and in 98% cosmetic condition, just a slight rubbing on some of the black edge paint at the back. The ER case is a bit battered, but as described.
Everything works except that the slow speeds are rather slow, but that's only to be expected with a 40 year old Prontor SVS and no problem. And at two pounds twenty ... about $3 ... I'm pleased with it. After spending all that money I was breathless to see what it was like. ;D ;D. I sent positive feedback.

Excellent Peter! I'd kinda like to have one of those too. I like the design. I had one of the lower models, but it was worn out.

Sounds like you found a good deal and a good seller. Well done, Peter!
