Also just fished from the bay another carena SLR – needed to round off my Photo PORST collection – a carena micro RSD from the seventies (at around 5 bucks, not a bad deal) I assume it was built by Cosina?? – can anyone tell? – or was it built by PETRI Please tell me if you know Thanks Josef www.kamera-geschichte.de

The only thing that looks "Petri" on it is the covering.

Josef: According to McKeown's the Carena was made by Cosina.

Thanks for your replies
Does Mc Keown have a lot of detailled Info on carena - and possibly also PORST? - I only have a pretty old edition of McKeown (shying away from the price) - but if he does cover my main area of interest, maybe I should reconsider
Thanks
Josef

Josef: McKeown (I have the 2005-06 edition) has only a few listings for the Carena in his Cosina section. I'll have to check (when I get home tonight) to see what he says about Porst.

Hi, If i remember correctly, PORST was a German distributor/retail chain that re-badged cameras with their name for sale in Europe. I have a Porst Wink Mirror S, which is really a TOPCON. Mike
