ps Know absolutely nothing about this camera - just hoping it has a manual! I know it's a Pentax k-mount, for which I have an M42 adapter (why? - don't ask!)

Well alright!!! Congrats!
You will be surprised at what a nice job that camera will do!
It is light, easy and something you won't worry much about.
And if it is anything like the ones I have.......you will be surprised at what great photos you will take with it.

Congrats on the good find. I am still not a member of the 'Cosina Brigade', but I have been looking.

I know it says it is for the 1A, but it is also for the 1G too.
