A little over a month agao i won a Tamron 35-135 FD for $10. It was the last item I paid with a money order. the seller responded and said it was mailed. I waited and waited and waited some more but no lens. I emailed him but he had no tracking info. I went to the local PO and no lens. i filed a item not received dispute and still no lens. I had a sigma EOS lens come in today and when I went to get it she gave me two packages, you guessed it the long lost Tamron. apparently it was lost behind a sorting counter

You're lucky. I'm still waiting for the first Zorki 1C I purchased -- in February 1992!! The only thing I have purchased over the years that hasn't shown up. (Actually> I don't think it ever was mailed).

I once received a "Final Notice" that my package would be returned if I didn't come pick it up. When I mentioned that I'd not received a "First Notice", the woman said "Oh, I found the package and it didn't look to have ever left the PO for delivery so I sent a "Final Notice"!" It was from the FSU and I figure it was in the PO at least a week before I was notified.
Mostly the mail is reliable but I've had a couple of packages delivered to the wrong addresses and routed back to me. It's almost always a substitute carrier who makes the mistake. The regular lady and the regular sub know me and are both very good.

I had a package sent to me via courier. It didn't arrive on the day it was supposed to (overnight delivery). The seller made some enquiries, I maid some enquiries. There was a delivered notice that I supposedly signed, which was not my signature. I made some more enquiries. The delivery driver said it was placed around the back of my house. I looked, and nothing there. The seller gave me a full refund. 13 days after it was supposed to be delivered, it turned up. This was on a public holiday mind you. I just want to know what the h**l happened for it not to be delivered.
