Must stop doing that - previewing then exiting the thread without posting. A surprise every time! I liked the MSX500 I bought very much and wanted another from the same stable. The Mamiya 35mm's don't come up too often here. Oddly - two came up at the same time - this DSX and a ZE. The ZE is a later model, but of course the DSX is an M42. I really don't want to get into another lens family so the DSX was my choice. Also the big brother to the MSX. Cost me five times more than the MSX though - and quite a bit more than the ZE finally went for. Looking forward to getting it. Regards - John ps Posted this first, then modified it - no surprise!

C'mon John, You know you want that ZE and what's one more lens system right? Watch the watch, you are getting sleepy, veeeery sleepy. You will immediately search for a ZE on the dread E site and begin the slippery slide into yet another lens system. All kidding aside, I have both a ZE and ZE quartz and like them very much. Darn you Ron Herron, it's all your fault. (That last part was to appease my wife who just loves to sneak a parting peek over my shoulder while I'm on the 'puter.)

Bob - I already took your advice once and bought a Cosina. What did I get? A CT1G with a 'K'-mount - aaagh! I've got around that by giving it to my daughter to evaluate for me. The camera seemed somewhat less than sturdy I must admit, but the Cosina zoom seemed very nice.
I have:
M42 Praktica Bayonet Exacta Bayonet Konica Bayonet K-mount Bayonet Eos Bayonet Yashica Bayonet Yashica AF Bayonet Minolta MD Bayonet Fujica X Bayonet
A hole in the head sounds desirable!
Ron - The dark side is........................Nikon

John you have 10 different lens systems now....and you enjoy them right? Well, John, seems to me, a man with 10 lens systems needs to get over the idea of simplyfing his life by trying to keep it to one or two systems .....so as we would say here in the north country of New Hampshire........suck it up, quit bellyaching, you will add other lens systems to your list and you will stumble of some wonderfully suberb cameras like Mamiya NC-1000 ("CS" lenses) and Mamiya Z series ("E" lenses)! ;D Enjoy John....variety is the spice of life!
