According to the seller's description, the camera is fine. Problems with the ERC which looks as though it was at the bridge at Arnhem, and the lens - focussing ring loose, scuffed at bottom.
Price OK - £1-20 ~ $2. If it works - fine. Main thing it's a Praktica mount M42! No more will I wander!!

That's great John, any pictures? Look what I just got for $23! Vivitar/Cosina 420SL and 5 lenses. Anyone want a Polaroid 440?

Won a TL Electro as a 'back-up' for the TL Electro X (which I like very much indeed btw). Cost more than the X, but if it's OK then I won't have a problem at all. As far as I can see the only difference is a cloth shutter compared to the X's metal one. Normally cloth shutters are OK in our comparatively cool climate. Not sure if it has mirror lock-up, which was good on the X. Looking forward to trying it.

ps Randy - have still never seen a Vivitar SLR on UK eBay. Starting to wonder if they were marketed under another name over here. Are they M42 or Pentax K?

John, once you have the TL in hand, you'll notice a number of differences including mirror lock-up/ no MLU and mechanical shutter speeds vs battery-required speeds. If in good condition, either will take nice pictures. The Vivitars are generally M42 mount but I won't swear that they didn't make a K-Mount toward the end of their camera production. The Vivitar cameras are better than most people seem to think from all that I can gather. Walker

The TL Electro arrived. Case same as the Electro X - terrible condition. Shutter curtains slightly crinkled, but hopefully usable. Otherwise pristine. A non-battery required backup is always useful.
