This is more of a swap proposal. I'm trying to finish restoring certain cameras, and also get rid of a few others.
I need the lens elements for an Olympus 35 that I want to be able to use. I'm not sure, but I think it's the model IV. It says only "Olympus 35" on the top cover (looks like the one in the photo). Lens is Zuiko F.C. 1:3,5 f=4cm. It won't take clear pictures because somebody put very heavy, concentric cleaning marks into the rear-most lens element. If you have one of these (with good lens glass) and want to make a trade, then you can send the whole camera.
By the way, what does F.C. mean? And does anyone know for sure if this is a 3 or a 4-element lens?
I can trade stuff like...
a. the complete lens elements for a Yashica Lynx 1000, in good condition. (With original Lynx 1000 instruction manual)
b. Pigeon, early 50s, Japanese. Removable back. Clean lens, nice cond. w/ good case. shutter sluggish.
c. Acon 35 Model IIL. Japanese, early 50s. Lens is clean and clear. Shutter and aperture are sticking, and need a cleaning. Removable back. Has original lens cap and case, which needs re-stitching.
d. Vito BL. Partially disassembled, very stuck focus ring, top cover OK, shutter may have some kind of problem, I'm not sure.
e. Semflex, early 50s, Japanese, Yamato company (so mechanically similar to the PaX series). has a decent case, body has some scuffs, Luminor lens is fine, shutter sticking.
f. Taron MX, nice clean f1.9 Taronar lens, Copal MXV shutter works fine, RF image is there but doesn't move. Frame counter and double-exposure lock not working.
g. Tower 18B (made by Mamiya, sold by Sears). 1:2 Mamiya-Kominar lens (nice cond.). Overall in pretty clean condition. Copal SVK shutter is sluggish. One or more aperture blades are displaced or may have broken pivots. Case is intact. These are great cameras when working, and are not very hard to repair, but I have another in working condition.
h. Eica 35, ca. 1954, Japan. Lens good, shutter disassembled and never put back together. Has case.
i. Sears 35rf. Made by Ricoh in the mid-70s. Identical to the Ricoh 500ME. Lens very clean. Works. Meter and shutter-priority auto-exposure work fine. Takes the LR44 size batteries.
j. Minolta Hi-Matic F. Lens and body look great. Shutter winds and fires, but not tested with batteries. Has nice original case.
k. Minolta Hi-Matic F. Lens and body look fine, except that the filter ring is dented. Has bottom half of case.
l. Walzflex TLR, Nitto Kogaku Kominar 1:3.5 taking lens. w/ orig. case. Sorry to say, this remains in an almost completely disassembled state (although the whole shutter and lens assembly is intact and working fine). Lenses are fine, shutter works. I took it apart to try to free up the focusing axel which is stuck, but could not. But all the parts are there.
m. Minolta A5, has f 2.8 Rokkor, lens is very clear, body has a few very minor scuffs, works fine except there's no RF image. Original case (broken hinge flap).
n. Fujica Compact 35 Deluxe. Lens is fine. Works fine on manual, but don't know about the selenium-powered auto function.
Let me know if you have the Olympus lens elements and want to make a trade.
OR...if you want one or more of these for your collection, I would be willing to part with them for just the price of postage (from Taiwan). You could reimburse me via paypal. I'll check, but I think the postage will be about 17 US. If you want two cameras, I'll ask for, say, 23 US. I may add a few items to this list later.
