I am looking for a Light meter. Requirements. Fairly acurate, smaller then a VW, fairly inexpensive. Thanks John

How about a Kiev 88 with a meter finder. It's marginally smaller than a VW:)

I just know I am going to get abuse heaped on me .......... I have said it before and eveyone jumps up and says, "you're wrong", "buy a Weston" "buy a Sekonic" "buy a Lunasix" For my money, the easiest to use, the most reliable (i.e most Westons tend to die in old age) and the most handsome is: Yes, that's right a Gossen Sixtomat from the 1960s. I now have six and they are all as accurate as the meter in my Nikon - more so as they can take incident light readings (you can't lose a blind, but you can an Invercone!) The clincher - price - from a few $ up to about $20 (the mint and boxed one shown - from Italy cost me that, but it is well worth it) Paul (Yes I do own a few Westons - only one works, Agfa & Zeiss meters are reliable, but fiddly to operate)

Hum guess what I have sitting on my desk. I wasn't sure how acurate it would be. I compared it with the meter in my 10D wow not even close. meter shows f4 @ 250 and my 10D show f4 @ 2000 just a little bit of a diff.

A Sixtomat three stops out? Unusual. I've got two of them and they're within half a stop of the meter on my T70 when I put it on average. Have you checked the zero position of the needle?
Must say I don't usually use them very much. Don't really know why, but when I use an older camera without TTL I either guesstimate or use a cheap Leningrad 7 on reflected light readings and either point it sloping downwards and shield a bright sky with my hand or meter off the palm of my other hand. For dark or backlit subjects I try to get as close up as I can for a meter reading.
