I've been adapting lenses from one camera to the next. (Great fun) Here's a shot from the latest adaptation of my youngest doing reading homework this evening. A Canon 30D body with a Mamiya manual focus 80mm 645 lens. Works pretty nicely. Very little processing, no sharpening, wide open, 800 ASA so it's a touch grainy. Cheers Jules

Jules: Nice!I've used some of my Mamiya DTL lenses on my Canon 300-D digital, using the EOS adapter. Works well. The Mamiya 645 lenses are even better, IMHO. I've been looking for the 645 adapter that will let me use them on my 35mm. It's hard to find, but I'll keep looking. Of course, then I'd have to actually buy some of the 645 lenses!

LOL, well they are moderately inexpensive now, this lens cost 70 bucks, fully manual. If you have an EOS film body, the adapters work great. I did however install a chip I scavenged from an M42>EOS adapter so I have focus confirmation and full metering and Av control which is pretty darn helpful as the DOF tends to be pretty skinny when shooting wide open. Go fer it Ron Jules OOPs forgot to add. . here are the adapters. tinyurl.com/2ujf7b

By the way Jules, in case nobody else has mentioned, your daughter is a real cutie. I'm no good at people photos (or most others lately) but candids like this are my favourites. Every time I pull out a camera, people either glare or give you that goofy grin look. Guess I need to work on my stealth.
