I just wish the prices would come down. Can you imagine what the 1DsMKII must produce

Bob, I'm hoping that Pentax sees the light and makes a FF DSLR. I would also like to see Nikon and others do the same because competition would serve to bring prices down. I'm afraid that the BS will always be with us in photography. Those with a committment to a particular brand will continue to debate the attributes of their choice and emphasize the perceived faults of other brands. I try not to get into arguments about which is best because I like a lot of different makes and use whatever suits my purpose at the moment. Walker I sure agree with that philosophy, zealots in photography are as hard to take as in any other area of life. Variety is the spice of life. Bob

And have you noticed n o one wants to post photos to support it. FF is not the end all I have seen some extreme detail from the Nikon D2X. My main point was to buy the best Canon and to b e able to use my wides as wides. I can't see paying 600 for a plastic lens to do what my 20-35 Tokina solid built metal lens does

Rick - that's a beautiful shot of the eye. Just the sort of shot that I really like. The bride's veil (lovely girl BTW) is striking. I have no suggestions as to how to correct it, but the lighting setup you had to obtain that effect left her hands looking paler than her shoulders. Normally that would be the other way round.
She obviously wanted to show off her ring though, so maybe that explains it!
Regards - John

One thing I' have noticed in the DSLR communities. In the old days say Canon and Nikon advocates would always extoll their brand if asked by a novice what to buy. Now you'll often see posts from a Brand X user telling the newby a certain model from Brand Y might be more practical for their needs. I even see Nikon and Canon users chatting! What's next? Dogs and cats living together!

Rick, I'm betting that she liked the one you modified best. That's a great job of softening her skin and the veil. The whole image compliments her much better than the sharper original. That's IMO, of course.

It took several shots to keep that big rock from highlighting
