I have a 5.0 Kodak Easyshare. (can't afford a DSLR) It takes pretty decent pics indoors or out, but for some reason when I take pics of any Red diecast car the red turns out fuzzy once I upload the pics. Any other color not in the Red Range turns out fine. All I do is change the pics to 640 pixels wide by whatever.

There is nothing at all wrong with the picture you sent. It is excellent. Sharp. Good contrast. Deep red. Could it be your monitor.

Dark Maroon on my screen - no overspill into other areas - no fuzziness.
If you are using one of the photo editors to decrease the size of the picture, there are usually a number of options as to how they do the downsizing. Try other variants.
In Paint Shop Pro, I have a choice of five options: Bicubic Bilinear Pixel Resize Weighted Average and the one I use: Smart Size
