I know it's 'soft'. I got it out of focus - OK! But I like the image. Regards - John

I like the soft focus. The colors of the leaves and the lines on the snail shell are appealing to me. I'm just as happy the rest of the snail isn't so clear...yuck! Sherri

Sorry - Yashica 230AF
Was using my 35-105 3.5/4.5 zoom on the macro setting. When you are trying to get in as close as possible like this the AF facility doesn't help much. I would be better sacrificing a little distance (pull away from the subject until the AF is able to focus, then pull back a little further to allow the AF to hunt properly).
The film is that Kodak 200 Plus that you get free from the Development Lab that I've been using. I've been quite impressed, although it does have a tendency to give a green/yellow cast in certain light conditions. In this shot I think it's enhanced the colour of the young leaves.
Regards - John

I'll bet it took the little devil days to get up there.

If a snail is anything like a slug a little salt will quickly remove distractions to the shell:)

Nice! The good thing about subjects like snail is that they don't fly away the second you're ready to shoot. Steve
