Hi folks,
I have a 1990s ish EOS1 35mm that needs a bit of work. Any suggestions about who in the US can fix these small tanks? It shoots very well but there are a few issues that need attention.
Thanks
Jules

Jules, My recommendations would be the same as you got on the other forum...try Essex or Gary. Ron Head Kalamazoo, MI Hi Ron, Yeah I checked them both. They don't work on the EOS1 I probably will end up getting a parts camera and have at it. Cheers Jules

Jules: There are several camera repair services that I have links to on the Related Links Page of my web site. Most are there because they told me they still work on 35mm Mamiya cameras, but they are all good sources and may work yours, too (Essex was one of them listed) Good luck!

Woo hoo I found a fellow who specializes in FD mount and early EOS cameras.
His name is Steve and he owns a camera repair shop in Sparks Nevada. He's an EX Canon service tech and knows his stuff.
Camera Clinic 50 Freeport Blvd #24 Sparks, NV 89431 775-829-2244
Very reasonable prices.

Jules: How did you locate him? I've been just about everywhere I can think of to find Mamiya repair facilities (ones that will work on the old Mamiya 35mm gear), even contacted Mamiya...and didn't get much.

Hi Ron, Not that I can vouch for this fellow one way or another but there's a guy in Richmond Hill, Ontario that's had an ad on Ebay lately. Uses the seller ID llimboc and his ad says he repairs digital and film cameras and lenses. He accepts cameras and lenses for parts as partial payment and works on all brands including Prakticas and Russians. Specialised in CLA, fungus removal, Tamron zooms, mirror lenses, camera repair and offers a 3 month warranty as well as a discount for multiple repairs. Email is aagheorghe@yahoo.ca . Might be worth a try. If I don't blow my camera budget for next month, I'm going to try him with 2 Fed 3's that need shutter repairs.
