I was fortunate to find an RC for $1.95!!! in a thrift store. About two minutes of playing around cured the apparent jam caused by a dead battery and the self timer being only partially engaged.
The camera needed light seals -- no surprise. I have replaced the light seals on the door as far as the visible old one existed and on the hinge end. My question is whether there were also light seals on the approximately 1/8 inch ledge next to the lock on the back door (opposite the hinge end of the door) and on the back door from the lock for approximately 1/2 inch toward the hinge. There seemed to be some residue as one might have if originally there were seals there, but no old seals.
I would greatly appreciate someone looking at his or her RC and letting me know.
Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave,
Just looked inside my 35RC. The light seals are pretty well shot, but yes, there is a seal, or what's left of it, on the eighth of an inch ledge on the lock side of the door. It closes against the thin metal edge on the lock side of the body. And yes, there are also the remnants of a seal on that flat half-inch part just inboard of the ledge. Hope that helps.

Thank you Peter. Back to the work bench for another five minutes of hard labor. Dave

I hope you found the solution the the issue about the light seals. If not, try to contact "Jon Goodman". He sells light seals kits on ebay(interslice) and he is very friendly and maybe can give you some info. He's also active on the rangefinder forum, if I'm not mistaken. Good luck.:-)
