I recently traded one of my many 50mm LTM lenses for a Voigtlander Vitessa. This is the model with the 2.0 Ultron lens. It looks like a user, there is some corrosion on the chrome but no structural damage. The problem is, there's fungus growing in the lens, so it's been banished to the basement. Do I * pay for a CLA, probably more than I would pay for another one on eBay * offer it up as a parts or project camera * invest in a spanner wrench and clean the lens I should mention there are 'light' cleaning marks on the lens but no big scratches The viewfinder is a little dim but useable. My past repair experience is limited to say the least. I have cleaned my Zorki viewfinders though Any and all suggestions are welcome. I always seem to bring these charity cases home... Michael

This may be too late, but I noted on another forum a fellow Vitessa owner noting that Chris Sherlock in New Zealand (!) does good work on Vitessas (or is it Vitessae?). He is a Retina specialist, and, looking over his pricing for Retina work (I have a IIIc which needs attention) his rates are competitive with such work here in the US. And please, take that beautiful classic out of the basement!

George, I've glanced from time to time at the older threads, but hadn't seen this and one of the other two you brought to the top. Come on< Michael, what did you do with it?
On another tack, George, is not a retina specialist an ophthalmologist? ;D

Hi George and Dave. Michael did take that Vitessa out of the basement, and it wound up at my house! That's the Vitessa that has taken the Vitessa shots seen here on the board! Once again, THANK YOU, Michael! Roy

Roy, Michael missed out a category then - *send to olroy to see if he can fix it. This was obviously the best idea too.
(Just seen a typo N instead of M.)
